Association Laboratory is producing the Planning for the Meetings of Tomorrow Meeting Planners Seminar on November 14, 2017. The purpose of the seminar is to review Association Laboratory’s meetings technology environmental scan, Planning for the Meetings of Tomorrow, conducted with the support of the PCMA Education Foundation, and to discuss preliminary recommendations developed at the CEO Summit. Participants will discuss the results of the research and have the opportunity to review the recommendations for application to their meetings and convention strategy. Association Laboratory is producing the Planning for the Meetings of Tomorrow CEO Summit on October 30, 2017. The purpose of the summit is to review Association Laboratory’s meetings technology environmental scan, Planning for the Meetings of Tomorrow, conducted with the support of the PCMA Education Foundation. Dean West, President of Association Laboratory, will be presenting at the Association Forum’s January 11, 2018 meeting of supplier partners. The topic is how the business forces are re-shaping associations and how they make decisions relative to convention and business services. The base of the presentation will be data collected from Looking Forward 2018, Association Laboratory’s global environmental scan of the association business environment. Nikki Haton, Analyst with Association Laboratory, will be presenting at the Association Forum’s Holiday Showcase. Her presentation, in collaboration with Ralph Gaillard, Executive Director of the Illinois CPA Society, will focus on the development of an association content strategy. The highlight will be findings from the recent Association Laboratory white paper, Introduction to Creating and Sustaining an Association Content Strategy, which incorporates insights from more than two dozen association leaders. Association Laboratory will be producing two sessions in early 2018 to discuss the findings from the latest iteration of Looking Forward. Looking Forward is the nation’s longest running and most comprehensive environmental scan of the association business environment, incorporating insights from more than 300 association leaders. The study analyzes more than 60 different factors influencing members of trade and professional societies and more than 50 different implications for association strategy. Dean West, President of Association Laboratory, recently addressed more than two dozen chief staff officers of national medical specialty societies at the AAMSE Specialty Society CEO conference in Chicago, IL. The presentation was based on Looking Forward, Association Laboratory’s global environmental scan, and research conducted for The Future of Healthcare Membership and Engagement.
