A Three-Part Webinar Series
This three-part webinar course will help senior association leaders prepare for their organization’s future by deep-diving into insights from the nation’s leading environmental scan of the association strategy environment. Looking Forward™. Led by Dean West, President and Founder of Association Laboratory, and based on the most recent Looking Forward 2019 research, participants will hear an interpretive analysis of the factors impacting the association member environment, implications on association strategy, and the solutions that association leaders believe are critical to success.
Session 1 – Factors Impacting the Association Environment
Association Laboratory tested fifty-three environmental factors affecting organizational and individual association members. From data security, to mergers and acquisitions, to training and education discover, all the top factors and common themes members are experiencing today. Five key areas of influence will be introduced: Economy, Information and Technology, Workforce, Government, and Globalization.
Sessions 2 – Implications on Association Strategy
Build upon the knowledge and insights gained from Session 1. Association Laboratory also tested fifty-one potential implications that could result from the business environment, and affect association strategy. From member recruitment and retention to content strategy, understand the concerns of association leaders on the five key areas of influence: Economy, Information and Technology, Workforce, Government, and Globalization.
Session 3 – Solutions to Challenges Associations Face
Continue expanding your knowledge with this course with insights into what associations are doing about the challenges they face. For the first time, the 2019 study assessed 30 solutions association leaders plan on implementing in the next twelve months and which will be most important to their association’s success.
About Your Presenter!
Dean West, FASAE and President of Association Laboratory, is a noted thought leader on membership acquisition, retention and engagement theory and strategy. He is a former association CEO who has served on the ASAE Membership Council and authored the article on Membership Research for the ASAE book Essentials of Membership. A frequent author and speaker, Mr. West has advised leading state, national and global associations on membership strategy for more than 20 years.’
